E-mail is perhaps the easiest and cheapest way to send files to Copy Craft Printers, Inc. This method works best for relatively small print jobs such as business cards, postcards, flyers and small brochures.
If your access to the internet is via America Online, please return to the FAQ page and follow the instructions for attaching files to our AOL address.
If you have a large print job with a number of photographs or placed Photoshop images, you may prefer sending your files to us on disk. We currently accept files on the following media: SyQuest 44, 88, 135, 200 and 270 mb; Iomega zip or jaz 1 & 2 gb. drives; CD Rom; Optical 128 and 230 mb; Macintosh and IBM diskettes; and IBM 250 mb Colorado tape backup and Conner tape backup.
Customers must furnish disks for digital files. No loaners are available.
Because of the variety of e-mail programs available, we cannot explain exactly how to do this for the program you have. If you have Netscape or Eudora please scroll to that section.
The following basic steps hold true in almost any e-mail program:
1. Compress the files you want to send us into one file using Stuffit (Mac) or WinZip (PC). These utilities are available for download at no charge from websites like www.download.com or www.shareware.com. Be sure to include your main layout file, any placed graphic or eps files and all of the fonts used in the job (including all screen and printer fonts).
2. Obtain an e-mail address from your salesperson or designer (click here for a complete listing).
3. Open your e-mail program.
4. Address your e-mail to the appropriate salesperson or graphic designer (NOTE: Be sure to use the correct address. A listing of these can be found on our Contacts page.)
5. Compose your e-mail message. It is helpful to us for you to list the name of the compressed file you are sending and then list separately all the files and fonts included in your compressed file. This is also a good opportunity to confirm your order in detail, such as quantity, special instructions, etc.
6. Select the "Attach" option in your program. This should bring up a window or menu for you to select the compressed file you are sending to us. Select that file and return to your e-mail.
7. Select the send option in your program and forward the e-mail.
That's all there is to it!
