Scanning Spectro Densitometer:
Our waterless presses are equipped with Komori PDC-S Closed-Loop Scanning Spectro Densitometers. It's a mouth full, we know, but it's worth it. Copy Craft was the first printer to employ this technology on a 28" press
This system allows us to scan color density directly from the press sheet. With that information we can use the system's computerized technology to balance the press color by color, ink key by ink key automatically. The result is unbelievably consistent color across the sheet and throughout the press run.
Once ink densities are established during a job's press check, the data is fed into the Color Management System to ensure consistent color throughout the press run. That means consistent quality and consistent color from the first sheet off the press to the last sheet in the run.
